• Women still face lower pay in equal positions, employment discrimination and the ongoing risk of gender-based violence. When a significant portion of men are on the frontlines, women are forced to combine nursing labor, working in the rear, participating in the war economy, and resistance to sexism - in civilian life and in the army.
• For 4 years, the government has not understood the falseness of the neoliberal path of development of the Ukrainian economy, from which our defense capacity and the population of Ukraine in general continues to suffer: cuts in the budget area, closure of hospitals and schools, commercialization of social services. All of this primarily hits women who work harder than men in the care, medical and education sectors, reducing jobs in these fields and forcing them to do unpaid labour caring for children, the sick and the elderly, without any social security or security.
• That’s why we urge you to join us in the Women’s March - marches that will take place in the capital against the update of the Civil Code. The new amendments in the Central Committee have not passed a public discussion and have nothing to do with the development of women’s rights and human dignity.
– Collection place: Taras Shevchenko boulevard, Kyiv
– Starting at 11:00
• "We demand systematic change - equal financial compensation, protection of labor rights, social guarantees for correctional workers; recognition and decent pay for critically critical workers, women in the military and care workers," - Ukrainian Feminist Network
• Together, we will stand up for women’s rights at the social and state level, and we will also oppose the challenges that Ukrainian women face, including unjust pay and the erosion of reproductive rights!
