During the proceedings, denunciation of the genocide of the Palestinian people and the complicity of Western governments, first and foremost the Italian government, with the colonial policies of the Israeli state, was reiterated.
The participants of the Ecosocialist University wanted to emphasize their adherence to the global movement of solidarity with the Palestinian people and their solidarity with the comrades prosecuted for the demonstrations of 22 September and 3 October 2025 at the Massa Centro train station and the port of Marina di Carrara, as part of the extraordinary mobilization that, just one year ago, brought together hundreds of initiatives and millions of people in the streets against the genocide.
The university’s promoters declared “our full support for the campaign against repression, in particular for the regional general strike called for 14 October throughout Tuscany by both the CGIL and the USB. We need radical programs and convergences to mark an autumn of struggle and unity against genocide, rearmament and militarization.”
It is also in this spirit that the adhesion of the Ecosocialist University to the Observatory against the Militarization of Schools and Universities must be understood.
