Version imprimableThe GSF flotilla is a movement of concrete solidarity in the face of the abandonment suffered by the Palestinian people. Nearly 80 boats were on their way to break the maritime blockade of Gaza where, despite a formal ‘ceasefire’, the people, still being murdered and starved, lack everything.
This military assault was therefore carried out against unarmed, pacifist activists delivering humanitarian aid. It left boats damaged at sea, some adrift; it disrupted communication and coordination channels; and several crew members were kidnapped. At present, we have no news of 22 boats and their crews, who have therefore likely been seized by Israel.
The NPA-l’Anticapitaliste strongly condemns this illegal and dangerous assault. It was carried out not only in international waters, but in the vicinity of a European country that is supposed to respect international law.
The NPA-l’Anticapitaliste offers its full support to the flotilla and its activists arrested by Israel; we demand their immediate release. The flotilla must be allowed to reach Gaza to aid and support the population, since governments — particularly European ones — are doing absolutely nothing.
The impunity enjoyed by Israel allows it to commit war crimes, genocide and apartheid without any punishment. The Macron government’s token condemnations do little to hide the constant support it provides to this genocidal state.
The NPA-l’Anticapitaliste calls for demonstrations and rallies in support of the flotilla across France.
Solidarity is international and it is not a crime. The only criminal here is Israel!
Israel is a criminal, the EU is an accomplice!
