We reported here Far right attack on feminists about the horrendous attack by fascists on the International Women’s Day in Malmo, Sweden.
Five days later one of those who was attacked remains in a coma in hospital. We reprint here an appeal from his supporters.The seriously injured 25 year old, Showan, is a leading figure in the fight against racism and homophobia in the football world, a trade unionist and devoted supporter of Malmö FF.

Dear friends,

This year on the 8th of March, we as feminists are meeting in Taksim (Istanbul) for the 12th time for our feminist night march. When a group of women first started this march in 2003 in Taksim, they did not imagine that it would reach to thousands of women and transgender people in the years passing by. Taksim has become a symbolic place which we gained through our struggle and where we celebrate our feminist revolt every year. However, this year, we are under threat of police violence in Taksim. Some of you know well, some of you have probably heard of the police blokade in Taksim after Gezi protests, which is still going on.

A new petition in solidarity with the Egyptian revolution has been launched in a renewed effort to defend fundamental democratic rights that were central demands of the events known as the “25 January revolution” in Egypt.

On Saturday 1 February a major demonstration took place in Madrid in protest against the government’s proposal to limit severely access to abortion.

For us as militants of the Fourth International of these last forty years, Moro – the Moor – was a militant reference point.
