The Pakistani military establishment had launched an attack on the online Jeddojehad. Its editor, Farooq Suhleria’s, home was raided. He could not be arrested as he was not in the country. But it means he cannot return to his job. Another member of the Editorial Board was also raided. The website has been shut down.

This comes from the determined resistance of Jeddojehad to the Pakistani rulers’ attempt to treat Jammu and Kashmir as a bilateral issue between Pakistan and India, and the refusal to genuinely allow self-determination in the parts of Jammu and Kashmir under Pakistani domination. In opposition to this, Jeddojehad seeks to uphold the principles of revolutionary Marxism on the right of oppressed nations to self-determination, not restricting that hypocritically to the Indian side.

The Revolutionary Communist Party of India denounces the attacks on “Jeddojehad”. We demand its freedom to propagate its views. We demand a halt to all raids and restrictions on its staff. For democracy in every part of Jammu and Kashmir. Internationalist solidarity with our cothinkers.
