Version imprimableThe Zionist propaganda strives to propagate the narrative that the offensive began on October 7 in order to justify the slaughter in Gaza and increased settlements in the West Bank as an act of self-defense. However, the colonial occupation of the Palestinian territory and the massive displacement and indiscriminate murder of its people have been part of the Zionist project since before the very creation of the state of Israel in 1948, and after the creation of the state of Israel, the apartheid system was implemented to secure the permanence of the settler colonial genocidal state. Therefore, any resistance by the Palestinian people to the oppression exercised against them is legitimate.
Within the western imperialist bloc we find different positions among governments, all of which however are equally allied with Zionism. On the one hand, the position of countries such as the United States, France, Germany, etc. shows total support for Israel in its genocidal enterprise, with harsh repression of any trace of popular pro-Palestinian mobilization within their states.
On the other hand, other European governments, as in the case of the Spanish state, Ireland or Belgium, are forced to adopt a "pro-Palestinian" rhetoric due to pressure from their voters. They thus juggle between making empty gestures in support of Palestine while keeping their economic interests and loyalties to the imperialist western bloc intact. These governments have recognized a Palestinian state with an incomplete territory and one that goes against the self-determination of its people while continuing to trade arms and maintain relations with the entity that massacres them.
The current situation demonstrates that, even in cases where liberal international institutions such as the International Court of Justice have recognized the ongoing unlawful occupation of palestinian territory, the states of the capitalist center continue to maintain relations with Zionism. We thus see how the interests of capital at the international level and the imperialist system that sustains them can override their own institutions when necessary.
The anti-imperialist struggle does not stop in Palestine. Although the settlement colonialism in Palestine gives this struggle a particular character, there are many other cases in which the bourgeoisie of the imperialist centers, many times allied with local bourgeoisies, dominates the peoples of the global peripheries with an iron fist through systems of white supremacy. We want to send all our solidarity to the oppressed peoples of the world. We support them in their resistance and call for their self determination.
3 common elements of the movement - learning from the different strategies
For all these reasons, the Youth Camp in solidarity with the Fourth International calls for the dissolution of the colonial regime of Israel and its apartheid system; the liberation of the Palestinian people and the restitution of the entire colonized territory; the right of return of the entire Palestinian diaspora and the self-determination of its people.
As a means towards these objectives we demand:
– An immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
– For our governments to completely break diplomatic and economic relations with the Zionist Israeli entity.
– A total arms embargo and sanctions against the State of Israel and companies with economic interests within it.
– The release of all Palestinian hostages in israeli prisons and concentration camps.
– An end to all forms of repression against any pro-Palestinian movement at the global level and the acquittal of all those who have been repressed.
To pursue these objectives, we call for mass mobilization in all territories of the capitalist center pressuring their elites and governments to isolate Israel internationally. That is why the Radical Youth camp in solidarity with The Fourth International show our support for the BDS movement. Only an internationally coordinated popular struggle can end up defeating the imperialism exercised today. Whether its against the Palestinian people or other oppressed peoples.
Long live the resistance of the Palestinian people!
