The death of Neil Faulkner on February 4 is an irreparable loss, not only to his family and friends, but to his comrades in Anti*Capitalist Resistance and the militant Left as a whole.

“You left us when Chile had just got rid of Pinochetism, you would have liked to celebrate that with us.”

This homage to Trotskyist resistance fighters shot by the Nazis was distributed as a four page bulletin* by local members of the French section of the Fourth International.

Reda Ibrahim Farag, a former leader of the Egyptian revolutionary Marxist current, died in Cairo on 4 August 2021. He played an important role in the constitution and leadership of a revolutionary organization from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s.

Otelo Saraiva de Carvalho was one of the architects of 25 April 1974. He died at the age of 84 in the Military Hospital in Lisbon. Catarina Martins, national coordinator of the Left Bloc, says Otelo deserves to be “remembered as one of the liberators of our country”.

Michel Husson, born 3 April 1949 in Lyons, died suddenly 18 July 2021.

Daniel Rayner O’Connor Lysaght, 30 January 1941 (Llanishen, Cardiff) - 2 July 2021 (Dublin). Founding member of the Irish section of the Fourth International, historian notably of the Limerick soviet of 1919.
