Mónica Baltodano
Mónica Baltodano was a guerrilla commander during the Sandinista revolution and leader of the Managua insurrection, and then a member of the National Assermbly. Now she is an oppositionist to the Ortega government and in exile.
Baltodano founded the dissident Movimiento por el Rescate del Sandinismo (Sandinista Renovation Movement). She holds a degree in Social Sciences and a master’s in Municipal Law from the University of Barcelona, Spain and is the author of the series “Memorias de la Lucha Sandinista” (“Memoirs of the Sandinista Struggle”).
