Masis Kürkçügil is a historian and one of the founders of the Trotskyist movement in Turkey. The current linked to the Fourth International from 1978 later took the name of Sosyalist Demokrasi için Yeniyol (New Course for a Socialist Democracy). This current now forms part of the Workers’ Party of Turkey (TIP).
