Counter-summit to NATO

NO to the new NATO-Strategy! Getting Active for Global Peace, Disarmament and the End of NATO! These are the slogans of the counter-summit organised in Lisbon this weekend.

The weekend of events kicks off with a Concert against NATO organised by Bloco de Esquerda on Thursday 18th in a public square in the centre of Lisbon (Praça Luis de Camões) at 9.30 pm.

The counter-summit international conference organized by the ICC starts on Friday 19th in a school in the centre of Lisbon programme. This event has the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Stiftung Friedensbewegung, Die Linke and the European Left Party.

On Saturday 20th a street demonstration starts at 3pm in Marques de Pombal square.

A Peace Assembly from 10am to 2pm on Sunday organized by the ICC closes the weekend’s activities.
