The Chinese government have been trying to recreate ethnic minorities as “a single ethnic group” by brainwashing [1] to remove the ethnic identities instead of eradicating them physically. The ideology of Chinese nationalism the Chinese government has adhered to is based on the theory and logic that does not allow independence of ethnic minorities. [2] And the government even claims that China is a “monoethnic nation of the Chinese people.”
