The New Zealand First (NZF) Party was founded in 1993 by Winston Peters, formerly a cabinet minister for the mainstream conservative National Party. Since then, under Peters' continuous and unchallenged leadership, its share of the popular vote has ranged from 4 to 13% - large enough to be a significant player in all but one of New Zealand's parliaments from them until now, and to have participated in coalition governments with both of New Zealand's major parties, National and centre-left Labour. It is currently the junior partner in Jacinda Ardern's Labour-led coalition, also supported by the Green Party.

It is shocking to see that the right-wing government in power in Italy since Summer 2018 refuses to reduce the budgetary deficit while so-called left-wing governments bow to the constraints of austerity. It is now, when the peoples of the Eurozone are ever more disgusted by the policies imposed by European leaders and big capital, that the radical left should start fighting the structures of the European Union and the Eurozone. The time is ripe to expose their legitimacy crisis and use it as a means of tackling the challenges populations are faced with.

The Pakistani Supreme Court had just declared Asia Bibi innocent of the crime of blasphemy for which she was previously sentenced to death. Religious movements did not accept the decision and fought back, calling to paralyze the country by blocking the roads, opening a major political crisis.

Job security has never been a feature of capitalism. As competition drives accumulation from one industry or location to another in search of profits via the ups and downs of periodic crises, it necessarily alters employment patterns and the organization of work. Over the long haul, U.S. capitalism moved employment from agricultures to industry to often mislabelled service jobs.
