George Kerevan
George Kerevan is an economist and prominent activist for Scottish independence and socialism. He has a weekly column on Mondays in The National (a daily newspaper published in Scotland) commenting on politics from a Marxist perspective. He was Scottish National Party Member of Parliament (MP) in the British House of Commons representing East Lothian from 2015-17. During the 1970s he was a member of the International Marxist Group, then British Section of the Fourth International, contributing to developing its understanding of the need for Scottish independence from a revolutionary socialist perspective .
