Brazil Will Take to the Streets in Defense of Palestine and the Global Sumud Flotilla!

Israel has decided to continue its attacks on the Palestinian people and those fighting for a Free Palestine, by illegally seizing, in international waters, the boats participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla, in which Thiago Ávila and Greta Thunberg are involved.

Among the seized boats and delegations are the 15 Brazilian participants in the humanitarian, civil, and non-violent mission. Included are 3 militants from one of the Brazilian organizations of the Fourth International: Mariana Conti (PSOL City Councilor in Campinas/SP), Gabi Tolloti (President of PSOL of Rio Grande do Sul), and Nico Calabrese (MES militant and Rede Emancipa’s coordinator).

Given the seriousness of the situation, the Movimento Esquerda Socialista (MES) has been working together with various sectors to build a national day of mobilization, university blockades, and pressure in defense of Gaza and the Global Sumud Flotilla. These mobilizations are part of a true global wave of resistance in response to the facts described above, exerting unprecedented pressure against the Israeli genocidal regime.

We call everyone to stand up and take to the streets on October 2nd, for the immediate release of the Global Sumud Flotilla activists kidnapped, and for the complete breaking of diplomatic and economic ties with Israel. Free Palestine!
