Ali Wazeer, MP, is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He lives in a province bordering Afghanistan. His family was decimated by the Taliban. Today he is one of the main leaders of the PTM, the Pashtun Defense Movement.

The PTM conducts its struggles in a strictly peaceful way. It has become one of the main mass movements in Pakistan. As a result, it is today the object of a brutal repression on the part of the army. On May 26, the army fired on a non-violent protest, killing at least 13 people and injuring dozens. Ali Wazeer was incarcerated, in violation of his parliamentary immunity, causing a scandal in the Pakistani National Assembly and in the country.

An international solidarity campaign has been launched to demand the release of Ali Wazeer.

To support it, please sign the call posted here Release Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar, withdraw false police charges.
